The U.S Attorney General is kindly reminded of state rights pertaining to internet gambling.
In reply to a note send last week by new partners, Congressmen Harry Reid and Jon Kyl to the United States Attorney General, Eric Holder requested that the Department of Justice (DoJ) refute the efforts by various states to legalize intrastate online gambling.
Holder claims gambling over the Internet breaches federal law. In reply to Holder’s verbal attack on internet gambling New Jersey Sen. Ray Lesniak reminded the Attorney General of the states’ rights by imposing legislation on activities within individual states.
The two politicians’ effort to pave the way for federally approved legislation in future, Sen. Lesniak in his letter insisted that New Jersey “…must not be influenced in any way from exercising its rights under state constitution and as well as federal law.”

Harvard Research Problem Gambling
Renowned problem gambling expert Howard J. Shaffer of Harvard University and his colleague Ryan Martin recently published his latest research paper titled “Disordered Gambling: Etiology, Trajectory and Clinical Considerations” in the Annual Review of Clinical Psychology.

Investors Seek FTP UK And Irish Assets
An unknown group of investors and the representatives of Full Tilt Poker have been locked in exclusive discussions to sell the world’s second largest internet poker brand. Washington DC Council member doubts whether the internet gambling law will profit the district.
Tommy Wells a democrat council member may have a significant impact on the legalization of internet gambling in Washington DC if he decides to revoke it.

Playtech Profits Up Poker Dismal
Apart from poker, Playtech had an overall increase in its revenue stream across all its verticals.
In its recent trading update for the three months ended on the 30th of June the AIM-listed company disclosed the following a recent publication. UK Government Issues Secondary Taxation
The UK government notified the British media that it’s contemplating a secondary licensing system. It targets foreign-based internet casinos that aims to advertise in the British market.
