NetPlay Loses Popularity
The first half of 2010 NetPlay TV saw an increased revenue growth of 11%; unfortunately its losses have more than doubled compared to last year after the failed 6 month trial-period ITV product “Bingo Stars”.
NetPlay concluded an agreement with ITV to air a bingo game called “Bingo Stars” in April this year. Unfortunately, “Bingo Stars’, new software gaming format “underperformed and we were disappointed since our forecasts has not been met,” said Clive Jones, NetPlay’s non-executive chairman in an interview today. Danish Government Suspends Internet Gambling
The Danish government has suspended all online gambling operations for the time being until the so called “black period” has passed. In the mean time Betsson is uncertain whether or not to apply for a gaming license in Denmark.
