eGaming Summit Hosted By KPMG
An egaming summit will be hosted at the Isle of Man on November 23 by KPMG. The reason for this event is to bring professionals together in their respective spheres to contemplate the islands potential and its place in the internet casino industry.
The summit would be hosted at the Mount Murray Hotel. Only key stakeholders and decision makers are invited, discussions would be held on how to properly market the Isle of Man as the “safest destination to play”.
The event would be opened by master of ceremonies Allan Bell MHK who’s the Minister of the Department of Economic Development. The early morning schedule will see discussions held on issues that can influence the gaming sector as a whole, while placing special emphasis on businesses licenses of internet casino companies operating from the Isle of Man.
The Isle of Man’s Government’s Gambling Supervision Commission and Department of Economic Development will update members on the latest trends within the gaming industry. In turn they’ll introduce a panel workshop who will address the changing global environment and discuss key issues that could impact on the casino industry.
After lunch various speakers will chair workshops on how to properly regulate the sector, responsible gaming, new global developments and customer service within the gaming sector. Specific issues would be addressed with the panel by local and foreigners alike as the day comes to a close. After the conference, the evening entertainment would be hosted by none other than software giant Microgaming.
The Director of egaming services KPMG at the Isle of Man, Russell Kelly mentioned, “As a result of eGaming’s aggressive global expansion to date it’s regarded as a major contributor towards the Isle of Man’s economy. It is of the utmost importance that the Island ensures that it remains a safe haven and a lucrative destination for internet casinos in the operational and licensing departments.
It’s essential that proper feedback is received from the government, major industry players and service providers in finance, IT and a various other parties as well. The main aim of the summit is to attract current industry professionals and to address the needs of the gaming industry as it grows from strength to strength.”
